Senior Service Co-Ordinator
Location – Kingston
Salary – Basic £35,000 /annum plus commission (OTE £40,000/annum)
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm. Saturday rota participation required. Sunday closed.
Role Purpose
The Senior Service Co-Ordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Service Workshop and Parts Department, ensuring maximum workshop efficiency, technician productivity, labour sales performance, parts control, customer satisfaction, and process compliance.
The role acts as the central link between Technicians, Service Advisors, Parts Operations, Customers, and the Aftersales Manager, ensuring that workshop loading, labour recovery, Vehicle Health Check (VHC) conversions, MOT performance, quality control, and parts availability are managed effectively.
The Senior Service Co-Ordinator will assist and support the Aftersales Manager while driving departmental performance and ensuring all daily, weekly, and monthly operational objectives are achieved.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Significant experience within an automotive dealership aftersales environment.
- Experience in workshop control, service operations, parts management, or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of workshop loading, technician productivity, and labour sales management.
- Experience managing Vehicle Health Checks and additional work sales.
- Understanding of parts inventory and stock control processes.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong IT and Dealer Management System (DMS) skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Service Controller, or Senior Service Advisor.
- Manufacturer franchise experience.
- MOT process and compliance knowledge.
- Leadership or supervisory experience.
