Trainee Vehicle Damage Assessor ( VDA) / Bodyshop Trainee Assessor 

Location – Isleworth
£30,000 basic salary 
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8.00am – 6.00pm with 1 hour for lunch 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career within the automotive industry. You will receive full training and support to develop the skills required to assess vehicle damage, prepare repair estimates, and work closely with both internal teams and external partners.

Personal Skills

  • A strong interest in the automotive industry and vehicle repair

  • Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • Basic IT skills and confidence using computer systems

  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines

  • Previous experience in a Bodyshop or customer-facing role is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in assessing vehicle damage and identifying repair requirements

  • Support the preparation of repair estimates using systems such as Audatex

  • Liaise with insurance companies under supervision to obtain repair approvals

  • Ensure estimates include accurate labour times, parts, and materials

  • Communicate with customers regarding repair progress and timelines

  • Work closely with technicians to ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards

  • Update estimates where additional damage is identified

  • Maintain accurate records, including photographic evidence

  • Ensure compliance with company, manufacturer, and insurer standards
